Oh Christian.....
I’ve been slack, very slack and haven’t written for
weeks. Family life gets in the way of
some things, no matter how much we enjoy them.
All the mummies out there know how tough the end of Term can be – tired,
cranky kids, plus equally tired, cranky parents does not a fun time make.
Day three of the school holidays and I’m wishing we were
back at school ... After being constantly harassed by her brothers, Imogen
tried to run away last night. She’s only
8! So today everyone is having a whole
day of time out in their rooms – seems to be working so far – fingers crossed
it does for the whole day.
Another reason I’ve been super slack in writing is because I’ve
been caught up in the phenomenon that is Anastasia and Christian. Oh My Golly, Golly Gosh Fifty Shades of Grey
Blush – those three books were the best I’ve read in ages. I suspect that in 9 to 12 months there will
be lots and lots of babies named either Anastasia or Christian.
As a result of my obsessive compulsive tendencies when it
comes to a great book, the house has been somewhat neglected and I did miss
going for a run one day. Mind you I also
forgot to eat on a couple of occasions.
The hubby has a smile on his face though J
Speaking of exercise, I’ve ramped it up a notch. I found driving into Castle Hill each morning
after school drop extremely time consuming.
As a result I’ve started running around our neighbourhood and have
surprisingly found my lost love of running.
I AM LOVING EVERY STEP! And boy
oh boy is the calorie burn worth it.
After each run I come home and complete some toning and strength
work.
Last week I smashed the fitness testing at Bootcamp. For the first time in 10-12years I feel amazing
– fit and strong and fabulous.
To top it all off, I bought my dress for Townsville Cup on
the weekend. I’m still getting over the
fact that I bought the first and only dress I tried on. There is no better feeling than trying on a
dress straight off the rack and have it fit beautifully and for it to have
shape and style.
My weight loss on the challenge has been far from
extraordinary, but my new philosophy is slowly, slowly, catchy monkey. I will get there and I’m loving all of the
benefits that are a result of my determination.

Too funny, I am also in the middle of a post for my blog along these exact same lines..... Obviously except the exercise part!!!
