Gratitude
While the dog (Chester) & I were walking along the beach
this morning, I was prompted to think about how lucky I am & how much I
have to be grateful for. We often don’t
take the time to give thanks, so I’ve decided to dedicate this blog to the ten
things for which I am most grateful.
Gratitude 2: My Darling Husband – My rock & the strong
arms & heart that hold me up & constantly tell me that I am worthy
& beautiful.
Gratitude 1: My Children
- Four little blessings who enrich
everyday of my life & engulf every ounce of my being. They are loveable, huggable, kissable,
delightful, naughty, insightful, funny,
exasperating...everything a mother could wish for in her children.
Gratitude 3: Health & Happiness - The good health &
happiness of my “little” family.
Gratitude 4: My
Sister - I am grateful for her enduring
love & support. Our relationship
hasn’t always been smooth, but we’ve always been there for each other & as
we grow older & wiser, so too does our love for each other.
Gratitude 5: My Parents - they love me, support me, understand
me & guide me & who have always put up with my tantrums.
Gratitdue 6: My Friends – I don’t have a lot of
friends, in fact I could count how many close friends I have on one hand, but
these friends mean the world to me, so too does their love & support.
Gratitude 7: My Faith – I don’t wear it on my sleeve, but my faith in God is a very important part of me & I am grateful that I have a trusting & understanding God, who has given me many, many blessings.
Gratitude 8: My Garden – I love, LOVE my garden. It is a place of quiet solitude, but also a
place that we share as a family. I love
seeing things grow & flourish & watching all the wildlife that then
comes to visit.
Gratitude 9: My Education & A Good Book – I am forever grateful for my
education. To be able to go to &
complete university & use this knowledge in everyday life is a real
blessing. I also love a good book & am thankful to be able to read what I want, when I want & enjoy a variety of genres & authors.
Gratitude 10:
Being Me – Some days it takes real courage to be me. I have never been one to follow the “in”
crowd, I’m not hip or cool & don’t see myself as pretty. In fact I have very low self confidence. Yet I am grateful to have the love &
support of my husband, children, sister, family & friends – who all give me
continuous courage & allow me to be me.
